STEMM Partnerships

Partnerships and services with other agencies is paramount to enhance student health and wellbeing in the school setting. STEMM partnerships include:


•    Education- Education Qld (Home Economics, Literacy & Numeracy, Health Education), Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE, Sunshine Coast University and flexible learning options such as BSDE

•    Child Care Support- TAFE Children’s Services, Playgroup Australia

•    Government Services- Child Health, Queensland Health, Dept. of Child Safety, Dept of Housing

•    Community Services- East Coast Women’s Health, IFYS Transitional Housing, 
Mentoring & Young Parenting, SCOPE Domestic and Family Violence Service, 
HOPE Indigenous Entity, Salvation Army (crisis support), Nambour & Caloundra 
Community Centre – Good Beginnings (family support), Lifepoint (supported 
accommodation)

•    Community & Financial Support- Buderim Patchworkers (baby quilts), Maleny
Zonta & Quota (Emergency Food & fundraising),  Resque Hair and Body 
(fundraising), Smith Family (scholarships & financial literacy)

These partnerships have been critical for Burnside SHS to establish and develop STEMM as a pilot program. We are always looking for more programs and business to support STEMM. Please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
